The Precinct Caucuses are the fundamental, and in many ways the most powerful, organizations within the Republican Party. They are the doorways to all other aspects of the Republican Party. If it doesn't happen in a Precinct Caucus, it just doesn't happen! Those Republican Party voters who attend the Precinct Caucus do the following:

This year for the first time, vote in a Statewide unofficial Republican candidate presidential preference poll. There is no longer any primary election for presidential candidates held in Colorado, so the caucus poll is the only chance you have to be counted.
Discuss candidates that want to run for office.

Propose resolutions about how the government should be conducted. These are carried forward, combined with proposed resolutions from other precincts and become the "planks" of the County, State, and National Republican Convention platforms.

Elect two precinct committee people.

Elect delegates for the district meeting and the Larimer County Republican Assembly and, if elected, they could be delegates to the U.S. Congressional, State, or National Republican Conventions/Assemblies.

If you do not know your precinct number you can find it by calling the Larimer County Elections Office @ 970.498.7820 or on line at the Larimer County Election website.

Your caucus location is the last three digits of your ten-digit precinct number. For example if your precinct number is 4155135524 , then your caucus location is 524.

Caucus sites had historically been at neighborhood homes. However, in recent years those sites have shifted to schools and other public buildings, where possible, in part to provide better physical access to those with special circumstances who might need easier access.
