What happens at a county assembly?
County Assemblies are held to designate candidates for the primary ballot for all county offices up for election this year. The County Assembly will also adopt the county party platform for 2014-2015. Finally, delegates will ratify the elections for all precinct committeepersons and delegates to all other assemblies that were selected from the precincts.
What happens in the State and other Assemblies?
The purpose of the 2014 State Assembly is to designate candidates for the primary ballot for statewide offices and adopt the State Party's platform for 2014-2015. Other Assemblies, such as the 2nd Congressional Assembly will meet to designate candidates for their various districts.
